Pathfinder Society Scenario #5–08: The Confirmation (levels 1-2)
Almost all Pathfinders undergo extensive training for three or more years to learn the tricks of the trade, and their last test before graduating from the ranks of the initiates to the status of a full Pathfinder agent is the Confirmation, a special research project that involves considerable fieldwork and is designed to simulate the initiates' future work as a Pathfinder. Even the noteworthy field commissioned agents sometimes participate in such trials as a way to familiarize themselves with the Pathfinder Society’s rules and expectations. Although Confirmation is typically an individual affair, the society recently discovered a site on the Isle of Kortos that would be perfect for initiates but perhaps too dangerous to handle alone. Successfully uncovering this site’s secrets will not only contribute to the society’s body of knowledge but shape the exciting careers ahead for each of the prospective agents.

The Blakros family, long an ally of the Pathfinder Society, has come into possession of a manor house in the imperial nation of Cheliax, where a once prominent noble family was known to practice diabolism before the Age of Lost Omens. The Pathfinders' task is simple: clear the abandoned manor of any remaining threats before the Blakroses move in. Unfortunately, the estate hasn't sat empty as long as the Blakroses think it has, and its recent inhabitants were anything but the devil-worshipers who originally built the manor. Bill Farmer is best known as the voice of Goofy, Pluto and Horace Horsecollar for Disney, as well as the voices of Yosemite Sam, Sylvester, and Foghorn Leghorn in Space Jam.
Bill is one of the busiest Voice Actors in the business. Just this year Bill received an Emmy Nomination for his work on Disney’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, The Friz Freiling Lifetime Achievement Award (the first time the honor has been given to a voice talent) and in 2009 was honored with Disney’s highest award when he became a Disney Legend. Bill is best known for his work as Disney’s Goofy and Pluto. He has also played in The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse (1987), Goof Troop (1992), Mickey Mouse Works (1999), House of the Mouse (2001), the Mickey Mouse Club House (2006), and over 3000 other Disney projects. He is now recording the fourth season of the #1 rated Mickey Mouse Clubhouse seen on the Disney Channel. Other major Disney films include Prince and the Pauper, A Goofy Movie, An Extremely Goofy Movie, The Three Musketeers, and Once Upon a Christmas. Disney/Pixar projects include work on Toy Story, A Bugs Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, and Cars.
Farmer voiced Yosemite Sam, Sylvester, and Foghorn Leghorn for the movie Space Jam. Bill worked with Warner Brothers doing the voices of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck on an episode of Robot Chicken last season. Farmer voiced Astro Boy in 2004 and a character in Shrek 2. He has also voiced numerous characters for video games.
Ever since he was a kid, he was enamored with cartoons. He grew up in a small town in Kansas without much to do, so Saturday mornings were always fun because it was a time for cartoons. He learned he had a knack for doing voices of all the characters he liked. Goofy was a favorite. He never dreamed that one day he would actually become the voice of Goofy.
Bill believes that cartoon voices are not just about funny voices. He took acting classes when he moved to California. His mentor was the late Daws Butler, the voice behind many of the Hanna-Barbera characters. Daws got Bill to realize that when doing cartoon voices, you’re not merely doing a funny voice, you’re an actor. You have to think like the character you’re doing and convey the action in your voice.

The Unusual Calling of Charlie Christmas is the story of a socially awkward, thirty-two year old high school janitor who is inspired to become a costumed vigilante in his small Oklahoma town. Bullied and overlooked his entire life, Charlie receives his ‘higher calling’ even as his tender friendship with his neighbor, a meek and mysterious woman named Gracie, begins to develop into something more powerful.
As Charlie begins to craft his crime fighting alter ego, the line between costumed hero and everyday reality begins to blur. He is guided by an apparition of Jesus as he begins to confront both the loss of his parents as a child and his fear of “getting hit” which stem from his own experience of being bullied.
Flush with his new found conviction to rid the town of bullies he finds himself in a personal confrontation with Gracie’s abusive boyfriend Brad. The conflict between Charlie and Brad serves as a parallel to Charlie’s attempt to clean up the town’s criminal element. While Charlie dispenses his own brand of “masked” justice to various street thugs and gangs he steps out from behind the mask to deal with Brad making this conflict more visceral.
Charlie loves Gracie, if only at a distance, and Gracie sees Charlie as someone she may have loved if life had only taken a different path. Although their relationship seems hopeless and at times quietly desperate, it more than anything else is the catalyst for change in both of their lives.

William Katt is best known as the star of The Greatest American Hero, playing Ralph Hinkley, a mild-mannered schoolteacher given a super powered suit by aliens. However, his first role was that of Tommy Ross, the ill-fated prom date of Carrie White in the film version of Stephen King’s Carrie (1976), alongside Sissy Spacek. He subsequently starred in films such as First Love (1977), Big Wednesday (1978) and Butch and Sundance: The Early Days (1979). Following the success of The Greatest American Hero, William starred in Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend (1985), the cult horror/comedy film House (1986) (reprising his role for the third sequel, House IV in 1992), and played the recurring role of detective Paul Drake Jr. in the periodic Perry Mason TV movies of the late eighties (collaborating on some of the later scripts). In 1989 Katt starred in the TV series Top of the Hill. In recent years William has made appearances in Heroes (as a nosy reporter investigating Ali Larter’s character) , Batman: The Brave and the Bold (Hawkman), Andromeda, Justice League and in films such as Gamers (2006), The Man from Earth (2007), Alien vs Hunter (2007) and Super (2010).
Katt has also written a Greatest American Hero comic book and contributed to that series’ Facebook page. Hardcore Star Wars fans will know that in 1975 Katt auditioned for the part of Luke Skywalker; footage of his audition has been featured in many Star Wars documentaries.

Fans will recall Trina’s many dutiful portrayals in such works as Claymore (Flora and Sophia), , Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple (Shigure Kosaka), , School Rumble and Yurippe School Rumble: 2nd Semester (Akira Takano), Baccano! (Rachel), Sgt Frog (Ghost Girl), and the ever popular Witchblade (Shiore Tsuzuki), to name a few.

As the Fifth Mendevian Crusade rages on, Ghalcor’s secret weapon could be the factor that turns the tide, so the Pathfinder Society has agreed to find a way past the indiscriminate safeguards to secure the device for the crusaders—a task complicated by their pushing past enemy lines.
